After several years of absolutely fantastic service, the day has finally dawned on replacing my HP w2207. It is having a horrible lag time on powering up. The picture is still so crisp, I would consider repairing it. However, I am in the midst of building my next pc and figure the monitor set-up would be a complimentary addition. Here's some of the wish list I have for this next model, I hope you guys can give my some insight, thank you:
1- I absolutely loved the fact that the w2207 had a hard screen, making it less resistant to scratching. Not a must, but would be nice.
2- LED lighting would be super nice.
3- Looking for 21.5-24 inch models, i.e. stay the same size or upgrade.
4- Going for a dual monitor, wall mount set up. Unfortunately, HP models don't implement this vesa ready standard into their computers. I find this monumentally stuuuuuupid in today's age. They just ruined the chances for a happy return customer.
5- It's not going to be a gaming pc but will definitely do blu-rays. A good response and Hz should be part of the deal.
6- One of the key features I loved was the long-term reliability. So no low end brands!
7- PRICE: $150-$220 USD
Thank you all so much for any advice, I'm truly in the dark on this. Is there a brand preference most of you have? Also, is there a good and not so expensive arm mount you guys know of? I'm looking for the ability to swing the monitor out so that they can face 90 degrees for that occasional movie watching on the bed 😀
Thanks again!
