Having built my new system 2 years ago with average specs i am now coming to the point of wanting to upgrade my pc.

I am now wondering, however, what component do i upgrade first. I am thinking the GPU is probably the best bet but i wanted to make sure before splashing out on a new card. I am mostly a gamer with moderately intensive games such as CSGO, Dota, rust and occasional minecraft or starcraft. I would also like to be able to get into video editing on a small scale, although thats not priority.

PC Specs:
I5-4460 (stock cooler)
8gb DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3-A MOBO
GTX 960
1tb HDD
350 watt PSU

Solution
For gaming, you'll want a new GPU and PSU. Maybe the new GTX 1070 or RX 480. An SSD will load games faster, but won't have much effect on gaming itself.
I would recommend getting a solid state drive first - this will give you the most noticeable improvement in day-to-day use. Second, I would say your power supply. It will be hard to upgrade your GPU very much without a better power supply.

At what point do you normally look to upgrade a system. Is it asap as soon as you have the spare money or is normally after a period of time. When do you look to upgrade.
