Hey everyone, I have been running a PC along side my PS4 for a while but now I'm going to go 100% PC. What components would you reccomend for my build to be efficient and able to get high settings 1440p? And any other general advice e.g. brands to avoid/go for or what to change on my current build.
Want to play division 2, Witcher 3 and less demanding games e.g. Civ
CPU: Intel I5-7600K 3.8ghz
GPU: GTX 1080 8GB
RAM:8GB 3200MHZ
MOBO: Asus Prime z270-p
Case: Gamemax Polaris
Fans: 4x120mm stock case fans

Solution
Either you could go with Ryzen 3000 as suggested above, or max out your system. To max out your PC, I'd recommend an i7 7700k, RTX 2080 and 16GB DDR4 3200MHz or above. For the RAM, if you are going to double what you already have, make sure to get matching make and model. This setup will even be able to play 4k Ultra at above 30FPS according to https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080/intel-core-i7-7700k-4-20ghz/, and at the link you can see performance of many AAA games at various resolutions and graphic presets.
