What to upgrade?

Hi, im currently trying to figure out what to upgrade in my gaming rig, i have an i5 3570 non k, 12gb ddr3 and and r9 280. Do i upgrade to a i7 4970k or an i5 6600k or keep my cpu at the moment and upgrade my gpy to a r9 390 or gtx 970?

A 3570 is still a rock solid CPU. You don't need to upgrade if your system already provides for you. If it gives you the fps you want in games and performance you want then keep it. No point upgrading if you're already happy.

I would recommend you upgrade to a 970 though, because then you'll have an even better gaming experience if you do decide to upgrade to Skylake or Haswell.

Thanks man, i am upgrading to the 390 as its cheaper and is around the same performance level

Both options are pretty much lateral upgrades. I doubt that you would see a noticeable difference with either upgrade.
