What type of cable for very long internet run?

Hello, after waiting for a year and still not having success getting my cable company to pull cable through buried conduit to my house, I've decided to hire an electrician to do it and then have the cable company connect it. Every time the cable company comes out to do the job, they tell me they don't have the right cable because the run is so long.

The run is over 100 yards. We use this service for internet and tv. Can anybody help me figure out what the best cable is for this job? Cost is much less important than functionality.

When you say cable, do you mean coax cable or ethernet cable? Whatever you do, run 2. lol. That one in time if one dies for whatever reason, then you have a backup already pulled.

Cat 5/6 only has a max range of 100meter, about 100yards, less than you need.

Don't mean to be a smart ass, but didn't know there's more than one way to do it.
