hi, I plan to change the case fan of my pc.

do I order a 12v 3 pin flx or a 5v 3 pin?

motherboard is an Asus Prime B560M-K

12 Volt (4-pin) everything. Here's what Noctua has to say about 5V fans:

"The NF-A14 5V is a quiet 140 mm premium fan with square AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frame. Due to the 5V specification, it is not suitable for operation on motherboard headers."

Best thing to do is buy 4-pin 12V fans. 4-pin fans allow for variable fan speeds. The 3-pin variants always run at 100%. Only go 3-pin if you simply can't find any 4-pin fans.

12v 4pin. Check with board manual how many 4-pin headers it has. Usually in manual called CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN; as opposed to CPU_FAN.
