i know the asus direct cu 2 770 has a unique pcb but ekwb has ended the life on their water blocks and to me some of the 970 pcm look similar to those of the 770. My question is all the asus 970's use the strix 980 waterblock and if they look similar, some even have similar screw layouts will one of these waterblocks fit the asus gtx 770 dcu2?

I doubt you will be able to find a block to fit that card. You could probably get something like the G10 braket, but thats a waste as its not a full cover block.
Why are you looking to invest (realistically waste) that much money on a 770?

As of right now that's my graphics card paired with an i7-4790k I primarily want to cool my cpu because as of right now if I even try to over clock it it won't be stable. Since I'm building an a mi I itx at the time of building my computer I thought I 120mm closed loop would do and it does but now I want to over clock it and I figured I would spend an additional $100 to water cool my GPU as well and I don't feel like putting out more money for a 1060/70/80 or any other card especially since I got a steal on the 770 for 100.

K thanks for the advice I agree the universal water block does look ugly. I might just invest on another SSD or some new games.
