I have a gtx 950 and i am looking to upgrade to a gtx 1060,

the only problem I have is with the wattage, currently I have a 350 w psu, and I know that is not enough, I have tried 4 calculators with different result from 250 w to 550.

my specs are
CPU- AMD fx-8350
ram - 2x8gb
HDD - 3/4 of a terabyte
sdd - 1/4 of a terabyte
gpu - gtx 950
3 80 mm fans, and an led strip.

2nd question,
if theoretically i have a 200 w cpu, and a 300 w gpu, will i need a 500 w psu or a 300w psu?

thanks for any help I get :)

Solution
In your theoretical question you would need a 500w PSU.

Plug your build into PCPartPicker.com and use the wattage in the upper right corner. Typically, an overclocked FX build with a mid-level GPU would need a 550w PSU to cover the current setup and leave a bit of room for growth. Stick with XFX, Seasonic, the EVGA G2 / G3 lineup, or filter through the Tier 1 or Tier 2 list.
