What will be the fps difference between 1600x900 and 1440x900

Just received gtx 770 msi twin frozr and am kinda dissapointed cause i have fps drop in any games and also in skyrim lol dunno why is this happening but i expected on ultra txaa 4x 1440x900 120 fps and more and i barely get 40 if i get 1600x900 for better vision will i get that 40fps down to 20-30?

What CPU? Also, use the higher resolution but lower the AA/AF.

I think you just need to adjust your settings. My CPU and GPU are weaker than yours yet I can max out settings and still hold 60FPS on a 1080p monitor as long as I reduce AA/AF.
