Yes, and seeing how decent of a product this cut down and "rough" Fermi is, I think the future for "Fermi 2" looks bright. The next gen matchup looks excellent. I just hope they release near each other next time.

I agree, since its 1st gen, its likley to have problems and other stuff...but thats a risk i am willing to take :) I just really want one.

The GTX 480 is faster than the 5870 and is a single GPU, if that is what you want then enjoy. Sure it makes little sense in the grand scheme of things, but a lot of people paid $100+ more for a GTX 295 than a 4870 X2 and NO ONE had a problem with that, fanboys and idiots will be just that.

I guess, but a 40% price increase (Cheapest model is $523, preorder, cheapest HD5870 is $390) for a 10% performance increase is never justifiable. One could get an HD5870 Vapor-X for $440, and OC it. With that, it'll beat the GTX480 in Power, Price, Performance, and Heat.

Deceiving is too connotative of a word, I suppose, though it applied to the 8XXX, and maybe the switch to HDX9XX, though that's less extensive.

'That's the kind of Fanboys that nVidia is going to be able to sell these cards to' would be better.

And people still bought the GTX 295 over the 4870 X2, even though it was $100+ cheaper and only performed 5-10% slower. IE, people are stupid. I laughed everytime I saw someone with a GTX 295 in their rig.

Fanboy...lolz.
They aren't deceiving me, I know what i am getting into...you are jealous because you are too poor to afford one...its okay though no need to be angry, maybe some day you'll be able to :)

Get 2 HD 5850!

Fermi is genius! Not only you can game or do GPGPU, but you can cook eggs, boil water, and heat up my room in the winter. Not only that, but considering the huge power of cooling with Fermi, I might even use it for A/C. What can't Fermi not do?

Ha, a freshman. Listen to your English teacher. Helluva is actually correctly spelled "Hell of a lot." I am not that much older then you are. Moreover I am doing my part to help the economy.

And By the way...you don't know me, you don't know my IQ, and you make conclusions based on no information...so therefore your level of intelligence must be quite low lol.

ITs okay, just pay attention in class, do your homework papers, use spellcheckers, maybe get a tutor, get into those GT/AP classes, and don't do drugs and you'll be fine.

Oh and no need for insults, it doesn't hurt me, but further shows your jealousy and desperation :)

Help the economy! LOL! You're just paying for a 40nm wafer at TSMC.

I agree, people randomly insult each other out of nowhere, usually either jelousy, or they like to feel superior lol. As you can see with shadow187

Yep, pretty pointless. I just don't get how people get so worked up about Graphics cards. If it works for you and you like it, it is the best card for you, regardless of whether others think another is "better".

I don't know why you'd start insulting each other in a humour thread like this. People need to get out more often. If you're getting serious in a thread where seriousness wasn't needed there's something wrong.

That's what they do with the Fermi reactor south of Detroit!
