Once again, here's Fermi 2 at a peak 1098MW, and yes it does appear to be far better than Fermi 1

It's first gen hardware mate and whilst I'm not going to be buying into it (for my own reasons) I don't have a problem or intend to belittle those that will, I shall however be sitting back and watching to see if any problem patterns start to appear.

I agree, since its 1st gen, its likley to have problems and other stuff...but thats a risk i am willing to take I just really want one.

The GTX 480 is faster than the 5870 and is a single GPU, if that is what you want then enjoy. Sure it makes little sense in the grand scheme of things, but a lot of people paid $100+ more for a GTX 295 than a 4870 X2 and NO ONE had a problem with that, fanboys and idiots will be just that.

I guess, but a 40% price increase (Cheapest model is $523, preorder, cheapest HD5870 is $390) for a 10% performance increase is never justifiable. One could get an HD5870 Vapor-X for $440, and OC it. With that, it'll beat the GTX480 in Power, Price, Performance, and Heat.

Deceiving is too connotative of a word, I suppose, though it applied to the 8XXX, and maybe the switch to HDX9XX, though that's less extensive.

And people still bought the GTX 295 over the 4870 X2, even though it was $100+ cheaper and only performed 5-10% slower. IE, people are stupid. I laughed everytime I saw someone with a GTX 295 in their rig.

I just realized the release was the 26th so i woke up today and it just slammed into my head so i went on thier website to check them out and see thier spec's....

They come at a good price, I am definitely going to pick one of them up They look Awesome. And it will be a huge jump for me since I am still playing on my 8800GTS 640MB which maxes almost out mostly everything at 1080p but ever since i connected a second monitor it's harder for it to handle it and I honestly just want to buy one to play around on crysis fully maxed out on 1080p to feed my eyes

I checked out some websites and it seems like the 480 is significantly more powerful then ATI's most powerful single GPU, 5870. Correct me if i am wrong.

Also, I have an 850watt PSU so i think it will handle this card perfectly fine.? I don't know if its enough to SLI them but one card should be handled well.

I just can't even imagine how badly these cards will rape new titles on maxed settings and on ridiculous resolutions.

Get 2 HD 5850!

Fermi is genius! Not only you can game or do GPGPU, but you can cook eggs, boil water, and heat up my room in the winter. Not only that, but considering the huge power of cooling with Fermi, I might even use it for A/C. What can't Fermi not do?

A decent 1000w should power dual 480's just fine.

The 470 needs a 600w or better with at least 38a

The 480 needs a 650w or better with at least 42a
