What would be best?

ok so i plan to do some video recording soon and i was looking for a new hard drive. Right now i have a 500GB and its almost full, would it be better to get a one 2TB hard drive or two 1TB hard drive.

secondly does this sound smart for max write speed i plan playing the game on my 500GB hard drive then recording on my other.

also how do i find the write speed of a hard drive

yea im kind of leaning towards that, would i have better write speeds if i play on my 500GB HDD then record on my 1TB HDD

if you mean doing both at the same time then yes. Reading from an HDD while your writing would slow down both processes - if either one would use more than 50% of the drives speed that is. Ripping (or downloading) a dvd wouldnt really matter, the optical drive (or internet) is so much slower than an HDD.
