What would be the best graphics card for my PC specs?

I'm having serious issues running any type of modern game (apart from the Sims 4) on my PC. I currently only have the Intel HD graphics card. I'm wondering what would be a compatible and affordable graphics card for my PC as I clearly need an upgrade. I'm a new PC gamer and definitely am not familiar with how hardware works to an extent. My PC specs are Windows 10 Pro 64 bit intel core i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00 GHz. 8GB Ram

with an I5-3333, you can drop in a GTX 1050 TI, or a GTX 1060. Anything else, and it probably won't take full advantage.

What's your psu? That will decide if you first need a new psu before you can add a gpu.
