What would happen to my computer if I used the incorrect PSU ac power cable?

Two months ago, after bringing my pc to a friends house to play some LAN together...After coming home I forgot my psu ac power cable and when I came back to my friends he had three power cables....Since my psu ac power cable was recent he took out the clean and recent looking PSU assuming to be mine.....

So far, my system has been running fine so far in PSU wise during these two months.....

Should I expect any failures?

They should pretty much all be the same. There is really no difference aside from some being of higher quality.

As db said, power cables are generally interchangeable.

In principle, the IEC C13/14 plug and socket type should only be used with devices that draw less than 10A. Unless you have a ridiculously high power system, even cheap Chinese copper-clad aluminum power cables should get the job done without getting dangerously hot.

The great domo will kill a kitten...but your pc will work fine so long as the cable you used "looks" like the one that came with it. If somehow you managed to squeeze some odd shaped cable in there your lucky you didn't break anything.

It's fine. If it was intended for use for the majority of power supplies, TV's or other similar devices and is IEC C13/14 as indicated by InvalidError, then it's fine. If you're running a 1000w or higher PSU and it's getting pushed hard by multiple cards and a giant overclock, then you might want to be sure to use the one that came with it, but even then it probably doesn't matter. If it's rated for the same voltage as your power grid, it should be perfectly fine.
