Question What would you consider overkill?

Im gonna build a new pc for casual ging and hw. I dont plan on streaming or editing but I want to be able to run hames like siege and battlefield smoothly. What would you consider to be reasonable hardwares.

If you're going to only game (i.e r6s or bf) then a $1500-2000 dollar build should give you good results.

Im trying to keep it around $1000. Im think a Ryzen 3600x or 3700x as a cpu. Idk what gpu because I dint know if something like a 5700 xt or 2060 s would be overkill
