[SOLVED] What you think about the leaked 10GB VRAM on the RTX3080?

So, according to the latest leaks (which so close to the official presentation are most likely true) the RTX3080 will feature will have 10GB GDDR6X with up to 760GB/s. This is pretty fast VRAM. But is it enough for

1. 2k WQHD gaming? In 2020, 2021, 2022?
2. 4k gaming? in 2020, 2021, 2022

I kinda feel it's well enough for now, especially in 2k, but how might that change of the next year or so. I know there will be board partner RTX3080s eventually with 20GB VRAM. But 20 sound like overkill for gaming....unless your are a content creator.

Well when it comes to "is X amount of VRAM enough?"

1. 2k WQHD gaming? In 2020, 2021, 2022? - Absolutely
2. 4k gaming? in 2020, 2021, 2022 - For sure

The amount of vram has never really been an issue atleast not for a long time now.
Vast majority of games even now dont utilize more than 7gb at 4K meaning that an gpu with 8gb vram will most likely last you until 2025 vram wise.

You could really get by with 6gb's of VRAM now.
I remember when the 2060 was released and everyone was panicking about it only having 6gigs but turned out that it was just fine at even the higher resolutions such as 1440p and sometimes even 4K but then again the 2060 was never intended to be a 4K gaming card to begin with.

A game will most likely not need 10gigs of vram let alone 20gb in the following years.
Of course this is impossible to state as a fact since no one really knows what the future holds but judging by the past i think we will do just fine.

Just need to remember that the 11GB VRAM on the 1080Ti is still overkill when it comes to gaming.
