Whats a good CPU for gaming?

need a good CPU for gaming preferably an i5 with an LGA1150 socket

um around £200 give or take a few £££ and yes I do have an LGA 1150 motherboard, ASUS H97M-E

And my aim is to upgrade from my i5-4460S (2.9GHz) please let me know if its not worth it

really in the i5 family it is not worth it. You are going to spend money for a performance boost that is not noticeable.

teh best i5 would be an i5-4690K with about 20% more performance. Worth it? Well, not so much. But it depends on teh games you play and on your GPU.

That Xeon is a equivalent with an i7 4770 and will work with your MB.

Yeah, but, like i said, it also depends on your GPU. Cuz if you;re rocking a GTX 1070 you should be looking for a better CPU indeed.

Oh, adn if you intend to play BF1 online, i wholeheartedly recommend that you get that Xeon.

Anything lower is not merited and would no bring much of an improvement. See how much an i7 costs so you understand that you are actually getting a bargain

Exactly. Well, if BF1 is your main interest, i would actually wait and see if it runs satisfactory or not. Then go shopping if needed.
