Whats a good Defrag Program????????

Hello All,

I was just wondering if there are any better derag programs out there better than Diskeeper or Nortons Speed Disk? Has anyone here used O&O Defrag and If you have what do you think.

I still think that the old Speed disk is the best! The one for Win 98.

Cool, but is there a program out there that will do the same as Norton Speed disk for win9x. That will move unused files to te end of the hd, put the pageing file to the start of the hd, defrag the directories, and all the good stuff that speed disk has done?

VoptXP can do this. I really liked this program for Windows 98. But, now that I have a paging file on a separate hard drive and partition, I don't need to use this. I just use Diskeeper to automatically defrag when ever it's needed.

Here's a general sort of question.

Diskkeepr recommends defragmanting daily. A certain computer columnist warns that this will cause lots of wear and recommends that you defragment once every three months?

Is there any merit to either recommendation?

Not entirely pleased with Windows XP.

Yeah Ive got that one as vell but am looking for something that will nove that pageing file to the start of the hd, and defrag like norton speed disk did. I havent tried the VoptXp yeat but I will try it out soon.

By the way O&O is great as is.
