[SOLVED] What's causing horizontal lines on LG monitor?

Hi all i recently bought a LG 24MP59G Gaming Monitor [60.96 cm (24 inch) - 1ms, 75Hz, AMD Freesync, Full HD, IPS Panel with VGA, HDMI, Display Port]

Started getting horizontal lines the first time. I turned off the monitor for some time then reconnected and line were gone but now they're back again... Pls. Help!!!

anyway. it usually hardware issue with the monitor

If you have another monitor, try that. If the lines disappear, it's the monitor. You can try either replacing the HDMI cable or hook it up with a VGA/DVI cable. You can also disable your graphics card and use onboard graphics to see if the issue clears up. If so, it might be a driver issue. Worst case scenario is either a bad monitor or graphics card.
