If I run games, within 10 minutes, the laptop crashes. I get the blue screen of death.
Some history:
- The laptop is 7 years old. (Asus ROG STRIX GL503GE)
- 3 years ago, something got loose inside the laptop, and it short-circuited the motherboard. Got it fixed.
- 8 months ago, while transferring data to an external hard disk, the laptop crashed (BSOD). Whenever I put even a slight load, it used to crash. Gradually, it started to crash more frequently. 3 months ago mustered the courage to open the laptop and clean the fans, fixed the issue.
- 2 weeks ago, I launched a game (Mass Effect 3 LE) for the first time in 3 years. 10 minutes in, the Laptop crashed (BSOD). Whenever I am launching a game or putting it under heavy load, it is crashing again within 10 minutes (Same error code I used to get before cleaning the fan).
- The trackpad stopped working around the same time (2 weeks ago). The trackpad ribbon cable attaches to the motherboard near the SSD.
- Drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.
- Drive Remaining Life for SSD in HWiNFO is 80%.
