When I get a Conroe? I'm going to overclock my Pentium D to like 10 GHz with no heatsink at the highest voltage I can get. **** my motherboard, and if my PSU happens to go then too . . . well . . . it had a good run.

You will need higher voltage for that. I sugest you to directly plug in the CPU on 220V. I guarantee that you'll achieve at least 50Hz. All the lights would dim and then they would have to activate all of the turbins at the Hoover Dam. George Bush would declaire the U.S. in a state of emergency, and we would then go to war with China. Then all the polar ice caps would melt from the intense heat.

We finally get to bury the Pentium name.... every time I hear the word Pentium I think of the time I was a computer salesman, and these hicks would come in to my store any say "Do you got one of them there Pendulums"?

Now instead of asking for a Core 2 Duo I imagine them saying "You got one of them there Core Duels"?

See my post was the real answer for me and I will explain...
I didn't care what happend to P4s before I wrote it, during writing it and still didn't care when I stopped.

I will get a Conroe or two though in a few short weeks.

I could see them push down the price of celeron and push down the price of the P4. P4 - it's the new celeron! If they still produce into 2007, then it won't be until 2008 (at least) when distributors run out of inventory.

Dell Will aquire every leftover stock from the storage facilitys and sell them at Blow out prices. B most Dell users done care if they get a Pentium 2 or a pentium 4 or even a CORe 2 Duo most of them don't have an idea what they are getting. as long as they are able to surk porn and run MSword and maybe the internet occationally. it's all good. I wouldn't be suprised if Intel dropped the Celeron name, just like they did with Pentium. I think there's a stigma attached to Celeron, as they are routinely laughed at (rightly so, in many apps.)So, just as they try to put the Pentium name to rest, they should with Celeron also. :?

Because the earth, she would have been vapourised after you've turned on the 30 millionth. no need to even get close to the 40 millionth to make sure every atomic particle seperated from its double-bonded molecule you can get that done with 30 million and 10 or (30,000,010) to destory the earth. How much would it need to convert every other form of enery into Heat hmmmm. about 100 million maybe. IF you were able to turn on 1 trillion "prescotts" hmm which is impossible. Im pretty sure Even god would be dead before the first billion "prescotts" turn on.
