Whats programs are best for benchmarking

hi i was wondering what programs would be best for benchmarking. i have a ssd drive core i7 920cpu 6gigs of memory. im assuming really all i need is overall performance like cpu and memory performance. im not concerned with prime thanks

GPU: 3D Mark
CPU: PC Mark

hmm, do i need to run all of those or is there one that covers them all in one app or doese pcmark and 3dmark come all in one suit? what im tryin to do is benchmark my computer using a couple of different overclocks maybe memory overclocks to

Run PCMark06 or PCMark 7 and you will know the "overall" performance.

Yeah, PCMark will cover overall performance. AS SSD will give you much more detailed benchmarks for your drive and 3DMark will do the same for your GPU.
