How do you tell the difference between the mentioned HDDs? They seem identical and I can't find much information about them either

Both models are 4Kn drives.

The -600 supports Instant Secure Erase while the -604 supports Secure Erase but only by overwriting the data. This would imply that the -600 model supports Full Disk Encryption (FDE) while the -604 does not.

Instant Secure Erase is a cryptographic erase, ie the encrypted data are rendered unintelligible by discarding the internal encryption key.

A non-encrypted drive can only be erased by overwriting every sector. That may take several hours.
