What's the issue with my HDD?

My Hard drive has been making noises ever since I first installed it about 5 months ago. Can you tell me what these noises mean? I've got a Seagate Barracuda ES 750gb.

Hard drives will make noise, I don't hear anything there out of the ordinary.

Pull the SMART data for the drive, you'll probably find its perfectly healthy. In which case, don't worry about the noise.

might need to replace it. unless its a 10k speed drive then ya they are noisy. lol

I'd recommend you to check the mounting of the HDD inside your rig and make sure that the noises are not caused by the placement of the drive. As the other guys mentioned, check its health and SMART status by running a diagnostic tool. If any errors pop up and the noises are persistent, I'd advise you to contact the HDD manufacturer's customer support and ask for assistance. You can also send them an RMA request and hopefully get a replacement.
