Whats this called i want to buy one off ebay or amazon i know it's used to convert a sata 2.5 hdd to usb 3.0 no need for power cords etc just plug that in the hdd have a usb 3.0 connector done.

There are parts of external 2.5" hard drive enclosures on pictures. But, as I could understand, you need USB3.0 to SATA adapter.

I know I'm not helping but I have 2 of these sitting idle on my coffee table that I removed from an External USB 500GB backup Drive.
I'm my case, they are USB2. I would call them "SATA to USB external hard drive board"

Yep, "SATA to USB external hard drive board" or "Sata to USB/2/3 adapter for 2,5 inch drives". 2.5" because it doesn't have external power input which 3.5" drives require. That one is obviously from an external 2.5" enclosure.
