Brand new monitor and witnessing a strange lingering effect for anything on top of a black background. See it in action: https://media.giphy.com/media/3oz8xKAOtfd44KpoLC/giphy.gif

There are a lot of terms floating out there (ghosting, tracing, screen burn, etc) so I dont really know what to do here.

My specs are below and I have tried:
>two cords, DVI and HMDI - same issue
>other monitors - its only the Asus
>updating GPU drivers

SPECS: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KdLLpb

Any help? Should I RMA?

You might have your TraceFree set incorrectly (too high and you get craziness like you're seeing, 60 is default I believe, but some people set it to 40/20 or even lower.). Go into the monitor OSD under image and play with it and see if that fixes it.

If not, I'd talk to ASUS about an RMA.

Edit: are you using a reputable ICC profile? If not, grab the profile from here: https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/asus-vg248qe/
