Yeah very nice results here, You overclocking your GTX480 at all?

I might push for 1080Core and 1250Mem, Also I want to see what my Low score is.

Shame this benchmark doesn't support Crossfire/SLi

Scroll up about 5 posts and look for the one I made, shows you how to run it fullscreen and thus enabling SLI / Xfire! My score nearly doubled when SLi enabled in low/ fullscreen.

Yea I did overclocked but only up to 835 Core clock or so. Will crash after that since the stock fans can only do so much lol.

Stock w/o OC:
Core clock = 700
Processor clock 1401
Memory Clock 1848

After OCed:
Core clock = 835
Processor clock 1667
Memory Clock 2079

So if yours at 1080 Core clock. That is a huge gap between core clock lol...
Hmmm maybe you can try your Core clock at 835 and see what the score will look like? Might be interesting to compare.

I really want to try with Water Cooling and see how much I can get up to. Waterblock for GTX 480 around $130~160 then there are rad, pump, tubing, etc... so looking around $250-300+ for a good setup (price including GTX 480 Waterblock).

My score was done with a HD5850 at 1000/1200, havent tried 1080/1250

I would try 835c but my PC is made of fail and decided to crash when I tried to launch the benchmark, I'll reinstall the benchmark in a min and try again.

P.S Watercooling is the way to go man. The initial cost is high, but the pump, tubing, barbs/compressions and rads will last through a few builds.

Will report back soon with hopefully some 835c results for you.

4502, 700 points less than with my card at 1000/1200

Oh BTW I put the memory up from 1000 to 1100 as you had your memory slightly overclocked.

@ dipankar Almost all the watercooling gear can be used again and again so like I said before the initial cost is high but you get great cooling and (if you use quiet fans on your rad) a quiet PC for a long time. + some extreme overclocks which somewhat counter acts the cost of the watercooling

(just think how much ATi would charge for a 1000/1200Mhz HD5850 ) £400 perhaps?

u guys are crazy overclocker.Dont u guys have any other place to dump ur money other than inside ur pc.300 dollor for water cooling just to overclock it few 100mhz.use that money to buy another card for sli.

Ofcouse money can be use for other things, but like omgitzfatal said, you can reuse the equipments for your future build. I'm mean if you are going to build a high end pc might as well make one that will last you 5years+? I know it might not last that long but still. You might agree you might not. =)

And as for SLI that will happen later lol... it is a thought choice between Water Cooling vs. another GTX 480.

omgitzfatal,

Thanks for testing! So at the same clock speed GTX 480 get about ~+300 more. But then again they are two different cards so to be fair they are producing fairly similar results.

Well there's a lot more than just Core clock speed that determines the overall speed of a card

I guess if your going to compare two cards then its best to test them on the same exact PC with both cards at stock speeds, or perhaps max overclocked.

YEAH! Time for a real benchmark!

3DMark06. FTW!! :D

Joking.....

FFXIV benchmark is a bit of a joke, Should atleast support multi GPU setups as standard.

And if I said it was my low score in a previous thread then it must be a low score. :)

True, probably the best way to test both cards is on the same machine. Is your 920 running at 4.4Ghz omgitzfatal?
If it is then you should get way over 5K for low. I got 7200~ for low 930 at 4Ghz but then again the graphic card also contributed to the score.

Nah just 4Ghz (see screenshot)

I use 4.4Ghz when attempting some personal best results, I don't have any intention of buying this game so I'm not to bothered about getting the best score possible for my system. Just a bit of fun really.

+ I'm not keen on using my 4.4Ghz settings to often as I have to pump 1.44V through the CPU >.< :/

Probably in a month or so. Not really in a rush for one atm but I know that I'll get it setup eventually. I can't stand 100% fans from GTX 480. (Jet speed) lol

yea dipankar2007ind,
I would like to try Beta and test on the actual game but SE doesn't like me so I wasn't selected for testing :(
As for now this Benchmark is the only test out there for the game.

New beta drivers out for Nvidia cards 258.96

boosted me up a bit!

4400 - LOW
3300 - HIGH

11250 load times on both

C2D@4.0Ghz / GTX285 666Mhz

What's the key to load times?

I upgraded to an HD 5870 which took me from a 1100 to a 3576 on High, but my load time remained unchanged at over 30s. Need to run it at low again to see how much my CPU is bottlenecking, but I'll take a 3576 any day on my 3 yr old computer.

8800 Ultra took my wife from a sub-500 to 1890.

Are you running at 3.6Ghz or stock 3.0Ghz?

Your CPU should push better then mine and my scores are noticably higher. Maybe your video card drivers need to be updated.

Both on P45 Gigabyte boards too. *shrug* Your Quad should hold you over for a bit. Considering its large L2 cache too!

On paper, the 330M looks to be a little behind the 8800 GTS (desktop) GPU, which is what I just upgraded from. The most glaring difference it that it has about half the bandwidth of the 8800 GTS. I had scored 1100 on hi-res with that card, but I also have an older processor (Q6600) FWIW. The rest of the non-graphics specs are pretty good, though. I would say it would get by on low-res, but definitely not strong enough for hi-res.

That's some sick resolution for a 15" monitor.
