Background
Two years ago I bought a 3080-ti and was using that with my older PC parts (i7). It worked fine with no issues. Just recently got a Gigabyte Z790 AX MoBo with an i9-13900k, corsair DDR5 RAM, and a new corsair 1000w PSU. Build posted fine and computer works, except when I play Starfield.

Parts list
Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX
Intel Core i9 13900K
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
Corsair RM1000e PSU
Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM
Corsair iCUE H100i RBG Elite liquid cooler (new)

Issue
When I play Starfield I get BSOD - WHEA uncorrectable error. This happens between 5-25 minutes of playing. I have only seen the error when playing a game.

Attempted Fixes
Bios
-Optimized default settings
-Q-fan is set to all auto
-No overclocking
Windows
-Repaired all disks
-Updated
-Internal RAM test - fine
-Rolled back GPU driver (uninstalled using DDU first)
-Updated Intel chipset driver
-Set default display adapter to RTX 3080-ti
-Ran Intel Processor diagnostic tool - everything was fine
Hardware
-Reseated RAM
-Reseated GPU
-PSU is putting out enough power (checked voltage)

Diagnostic Data
Here is a link to 2 mini dump files.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time? You mentioned no overclocking. Is X.M.P disabled as well?

Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM
Corsair iCUE H100i RBG Elite liquid cooler (new)

Got a link to these two? Since the AIO comes in a minimum of 240mm and a maximum of 360mm, which one do you have? Then is the matter of ram, if you're working with 4 sticks of ram or you're issue is without X.M.P enabled, then that might be the root of your issues.

Just recently got a Gigabyte Z790 AX MoBo with an i9-13900k
Did you reinstall the OS?

I just updated the BIOS to the one from this page (FF): https://www.aorus.com/en-us/motherboards/Z790-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-1x/Support I cannot remember what the older bios version was.

XMP is disabled.

Cooler: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YC9FZ8M?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Two sticks of 16gb RAM.

I did not reinstall the OS.

You need to reinstall the OS when doing platform changes. Windows can't be trusted to completely clean out registry and drivers for the older hardware.
Was just going to ask the obvious outlying question as well. Nowhere did OP mention a new install. Changing all that the drivers won't match at all with god knows how many incorrect registry entries.

With that many parts replaced, fresh install is a must.

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 last night. Completely formatted my SDD and reinstalled. Got the same error this morning in Starfield after 5 minutes.

Hi Lut, I did a fresh install of Windows 10 after completely wiping my C:/ drive and still got the error this morning after 5 minutes in Starfield.

In the future please only make one post in a row. It keeps the thread legible.

As for the errors still, is your RAM in the correct slots?

Have you (this seems counterintuitive) enabled XMP?

Most importantly and what does your event log say right before the crash (besides the WHEA)?

Yes, ram are aligned like this " 0-R-0-R" Where R is a ram stick and 0 is empty. The first 0 is closest to the CPU.

I have not yet enabled XMP.

Errors just before crash are minor, a connection to windows metadata and internet services could not be established, the cplspcon service terminated with an unspecified error.

Here is the event viewer for the WHEA error:

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Internal parity error
Processor APIC ID: 40

Event ID: 18
Level: Error

One source says their GPU was defective and swapping it out fixed it.

So my last 3 suggestions in order would be:

Reseat the GPU. If you are using one PCIe cable for the GPU, use two instead, don't use the pigtails.

If those fail, return the GPU as defective and get a new one.

Another culprit seems to be a bad PSU.

Can be hard to pinpoint when so many components were changed or you don't new build.

Check the logs for any other errors that have occured right before the WHEA, after and right before that crash.
