Hi all,

Two weeks ago I started having this problem whereby the laptop seems to BSOD (whea_uncorrectable_error) on the first startup. Specs are down below.

My current workaround is first launching in safe mode, then restarting. This seems to alleviate the issue.

I've ran some hardware diagnostic tests, no errors there at first glance. I can include a session-log if that would be helpful, but it seemed to have passed everything.
Someone mentioned it could be the "fast startup" function, so I disabled that - no help unfortunately.

My guess is it could be an aging power unit? I've got the battery removed, and am solely running on a power supply.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You could've simply stated the make and model of your laptop alongside it's SKU. From there we could've found it's specs.

Is this;
the laptop you're working with?

As of this moment we know you're on BIOS version F.56. Is 16GB of ram , two identical sticks of ram?

Though I am curious, did you ever think about reinstalling your OS, after fabricating the bootable USB installer using Windows Media Creation Tools?

Hi there, thanks for the quick response. Thanks for the SKU tip, will do that in the future.

Here is the url for the laptop I have:

I believe the sticks are identical, yes. I haven't replaced the factory ram.

I haven't thought about reinstalling the OS just yet, I am open for it as a last resort though!

p.s. Just restarting once now seems to still give the BSOD, but when restarting three times at the beginning of the day, the problem seems to go away.
