When i plug in my k68 rgb to my asus rog g752vy the fans ramp up to max. When i unplug the keybard and boot it up again the fans run normal. So what is happening here? It has a intel core i7 6700hq and a 980m its in fairly good condition and is like 2 years old ish

Did not register with me that that was a laptop.

As such power would be via an adapter or a battery. Appears to be 180W or perhaps 230W

That said, does the following link match your laptop?

I immediately noted under CONS: " Keyboard doesn't support RGB backlighting"

And you are plugging the k68 rgb keyboard into one of the laptop's USB ports - correct?

Not sure that that is at all workable as I understand the circumstances and specs.
