When I type I only get numbers

the keys with letters and numbers are coming up with the number automatically. How do I change this feature?

You have to disable Num Lock. There should be a Num-Lock button somewhere in your keyboard.

I HAD THIS PROBLEM TOO, SO I THOUGHT I HAD DEADLY VIRUS, BUT I JUST PRESSED NUM KEY AND IT FIXED BY ITSELF, IF I pressed it back it came back. Thank you! FINALLY I know what is causing this issue. One less problem to worry about in my life.

You did not notice the numbers imprinted on the letter keys? Every laptop with a numlock key I've seen that does not have a keypad has number on the same keys as the letter ones. It's not much of a "fix" all you are doing it turning numlock off and on.
