Look I get it. Windows 11 is out it's the next best thing to happen and hopefully people start getting into it....but to get it you need to use a CPU that can work with it or somehow get a TPM holder thing that is not that common...

So you'll probably have to play the waiting game and upgrade your pc when the time comes. But when is that time to move on to Windows 11? And when you do, would it be too late because Windows 12 showed up?

Any system that is older than what is officially supported, is probably due for replacement anyway. TPM 2.0 should be available starting at 8th gen intel, and 2nd gen ryzen. Also, we have 3 more years of win 10 support, so even current systems don't really need Win 11. Only reason I would consider win 11, is if I were building an Alder Lake system.

You only need those things for the installer not to actually run windows, look for some guides online.

Windows 11 is not a must get but it's also not a must avoid, if you know what you are doing installing win11 on un supported hardware is no more difficult than doing it on supported hardware.

While there are workarounds for unsupported hardware and Win 11, there is generally no real reason to do it.

What are the specs of this system?

Ram 16.0 GB Dual-Channel @ 1063MHz

1863GB SEAGATE ST2000Dm006-2DM164(SATA)
1863GB TOSHIBA External USB 3.0 USB Device(USB(SATA))

I don't see CPU on list - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...pported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

I have never thought about what OS is out when I made a new PC, its just windows. I was lucky on previous PC in that windows 10 came out about 3 months after I got it, but generally... its not a priority.
Windows 11 is windows 10 with alterations, as windows 12 will be windows 11 with alterations. Microsoft are in the business of selling a new UI every 5 years.

Windows 10 is fine. Just use it until you get a new PC.
