When pressing the number 1, "[1" appears. When I press [, "[1" appears.

So, I have a strange issue. Certain keys I press give extra characters, such as pressing 1 or [ both input "[1". Pressing o gives "2o". I've tried other keyboards, updated drivers, ran several different antivirus and anti-malware programs. This happened in Windows 8.1, and I resolved it by reinstalling Windows. Now it's happening again in Windows 10. I have searched all over, and haven't so far found anything that solves it.

Try setting and/or ensure your language keyboard settings for non-Unicode programs to US. You may want to try this tool provided by Microsoft to help reassign the keys of your keyboard.
