Hello everyone,
I'm planning to buy my first ever gaming PC featuring an Intel Pentium G4560 paired with a GTX 1050ti in the middle of July considering the prices of GPUs and RAM.
But I've heard about prices expected to drop once Nvidia releases its next generation GPUs...
So should I wait until like September to buy the PC if possibly with lower price and sacrifice the fun in summer or just go ahead and buy it in July?
And thanks in advance!

I'd say wait till the summer. When next gen cards are available to preorder, that's when I'd jump in and grab one thus avoiding any price bumps (unless preorder prices are the same, which would be a bummer).

Right now GPU prices are high in general. This has been due in large part to crypto mining. There has been a lull and prices have started to come down. You can wait because you think this trend will continue or you can buy now because you think cryptocurrency are going to start climing again. Driving GPU prices through the roof.

Even when new cards come out. If mining is going strong. Prices aren't going to drop. Those new cards will just become very expensive.

With mining a factor. You can't go by traditional expectations of a price drop after a new product release.

I'd advise getting what you can afford when you're ready to buy. Waiting is a gamble. However, I'd only get a 4 core CPU as a minimum with today's CPU intensive games. Such as an i3-8100 or Ryzen 1200 with a motherboard which supports overclocking.

Thanks for the answer,
Neither Ryzen 3 nor 8th gen i3 CPUs are available yet in my country, so my only hope is to get the G4560 an upgrade to an i5 7400 later on...
Anyways I guess I'll wait until the end of August and see how far things have gone... I don't know yet why manufacturers haven't made enough mining GPUs so those damn miners leave gamers alone 🙁
