Hello. So quick question: I am thinking of trying windows 11. I'm very cautious about this. My real question is - my GPU Has special software for windows 11. Should I install windows 11 then use DDU (Or uninstall the current driver/software) and then install the windows 11 GPU software? I'm using AMD GPU/i7 Core Processor.

Also, I can just roll back to windows 10 no problems if I don't like 11, right? Anything I need to do like a backup or something before installing 11?

Thanks!

What special software?
Depends on, how you install windows 11.
If you do clean install, then use of DDU is not necessary.

If you did upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11, then yes.
Rollback to previous windows is available for like 10 days.

You could make image of your OS drive (Marcium Reflect Free). For situation, if something goes wrong with upgrade.

Well the software meaning like Adrenaline or whatever from AMD, not just the drivers. - I was asking if I should upgrade to windows 11 without uninstalling windows 10, and then use DDU and then install the windows 11 AMD GPU software/drivers. Or If I could just install it without DDU after upgrading. - I hope that clears up any confusion.

Also, are you on windows 11? Is it worth it?

Thanks again.

You can not uninstall windows 10.
You can delete it. You can upgrade it. No uninstalling.

When upgrading (win10 -> win11), you keep all existing drivers and software. Some software may need to be uninstalled.
But it's still recommended to reinstall chipset and graphics drivers. Yes, you can use DDU for driver uninstall step.

It's basically the same. Very minor differences.

Not worth it unless you are just wanting to be on the latest from Microsoft, or like trying out new things. There is nothing that Windows 11 has (performance-wise) that Windows 10 does not.
