Hi, I have noticed across the UK, most websites where you buy PC components from has either gone up in price by quite a lot for components such as graphics cards and CPU’s, I’m assuming this is due to Christmas. One month ago there was rtx 2060 supers and RX 5700 xt’s on most websites and now they are mostly all out of stock.
Any idea when these will come back in stock?

Solution
It's not actually due to Christmas but that there's a shortage in the number of items for said product. With that, people grabbed what they could when they could, however they could, for whatever price was listed.

Patiently wait for products to come back as restocked or perhaps wait it out till the new year rolls in.

Well you also have the huge problem of all the scalpers buying product up within the first minute of release. This has been happening with lots of the tech this year from Nintendo Switches early in the year after COVID hit to the recent AMD CPUs and the Nvidia and AMD GPUs as well as the new consoles. Sadly unless you are willing to pay scalper prices on eBay, which are basically double, you have to wait....who knows how long.

It's more like due to scalpers, than to Christmas. One group bragged about getting over 3500 PS5's and they recently tried to order over 1000 more, but were blocked by a vigilant employee at the retailer they tried to order them from. The same shenanigans are happening with the new video cards and the new AMD CPU's. There are also miners complicating things on the video card front, because they are upgrading their rigs for Etherium 2.0.
