There are three or four other brand models out now at 1000W and over. I have to assume Corsair is very close to releasing one. I'm waiting on my build for 4090 prices to drop and for Corsair to release a new PSU with ATX 3.0 and the 12VHPWR connection. I'm building with a 4090, all Corsair and an ASUS Z790 Hero Motherboard.

Any clue on when?

atx 3 certification takes some time, btw atx12vo 2.0 is equivalent to atx 3.0
intel keeps track of certified PSUs
but here is list of corsair PSUs:
RM750x Shift (RPS0159) - ATX 3.0
RM850x Shift (RPS0160) - ATX 3.0
RM1000x Shift (RPS0161) - ATX 3.0
RM1200x Shift (RPS0162) - ATX 3.0
RM1000e (RPS0179) - ATX 3.0

RM850 12VO (RPS0151) - ATX12VO 2.0

RPSxxxx is model number

Thanks Kerberos, that is a helpful response. I remember reading about the new Shift orientation in Tom's when it was announced. These new Corsair Shift PSUs are ATX 3.0 but do not have the for the 12VHPWR power connector, which is not ideal for these new 40 series GPUs. But that said, do you think the shift archetecture would work or be an advantage if I build in the gigantic Corsair iCUE 7000X RGB Full Tower monster? I'm planning to get that huge case because my PC sits under a big work table and I don't mind the huge size and weight.
