When will i be able to buy Ivy bridge boxed processors

Hello,
basically what the title says i see all this announcements but when i Google an actual day i can buy the boxed processor i get nothing and i was just wondering what people might know

Well, some predicted 10, 15 or even 20% increase, which I would call "significant"; 2-5% increase is hovering around or just beneath "noticeable" in my book (depending on what apps you are using), so pricing and specific use of the processor would then have to weigh in on the decision.

I don't know if this is the right parameter, but in the Intel Datasheet (vol 1) for 3rd Gen. (on Intel Ark site), table 7-4, pg 82 indicates max VID at 1.52V.

TJmax varies, but it seems to be pegged slightly higher by a few degrees than SB.

i think that the early words from intel were around the 5-10 mark which is kind of where it is (ignoring the pointlessness that is HD4000, or the miracle that is quicksync). I'd class the higher predictions as wishful thinking/fanboyism, this is after all just a die shrink. Those gains for haswell would be realistic thinking.

At 1.52 most processors on 'normal' cooling (and at the clocks that 1.52 allows you to reach) are far to toasty. Time again for peltier assisting cooling (for a different reason), after all the wattage being dissipated isn't that much, its just the low levels thats needed (water will only take you to ambient)

Overall cpu performance difference is 3%.

Doing a little research it seems that the Ivy Bridge 3770K does about 12% better than the 2700K, according to passmark software (granted it's a single benchmark), still that sounds promising to ivy bridge holdouts.

Also, the price will be cheaper for ivy bridge. The new 3770K will be $313 as opposed to Sandy 2700K which is currently $329.
