Wher can I find local Windows 7 parties?

I need my windows 7 party hats and napkins! Lol but seriously does anyone know of any stores, events, ect that are going to party it up on oct 22 in the chicago land area?

Lol, no, M$ is doing a promotional thing where they send those who signed up Windows 7 themed napkins plates etc and a free copy of Win 7 to host a 'Release Party'.

Just marketing at its finest.

Not sure, I thought they were supposed to be on the actual 22nd release date. But I think in order to get a free copy hosts needed to be preregistered. I don't know if it was to set up huge public parties. From what I gathered it was invite your friends over to celebrate 7 but I could be wrong

I am a host in Houston and the Launch Parties are to be held between Oct. 22nd and Oct. 29th. If you were chosen to host a party you got Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition 32 or 64 bit for free. I got my package on the 7th of Oct. My party will be on the 22nd and we plan on having a real party. I have the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit loaded and setting it up for the party. Even though you get both versions the key is only good for one.
