Question Where can I find a microchip for my laptop?

Last Wednesday, I tried to turn on my laptop but there was no power. When I took it to a technician he told me that the microchip is toasted after it tested it.
Sadly he didn’t have the microchip for my laptop, which is a MICROCHIP MEC1416-nu d1835-a202f3835261a.
Wondering if I can find it anywhere, or maybe an equivalent for the same chip.
My laptop is a Dell g5 15 5590.

If the tech knows it is that chip then he should know where to get a replacement. digikey or mouser sell many chips.

The problem is maybe the chip is not a standard chip maybe it is slightly different for that laptop. Your best option is to find a identical laptop that is being sold for scrap parts. Ones that have physically smashed screens tend to go for almost nothing. The tech should be able to remove the chip from that one.

It is not something you are going to do yourself. You would not even be here asking a simple question like this if you know how to replace surface mounted components
