There´s no mention in the motherboard documentation. From what I´ve read online this little speaker is so that you can be able to listen to post codes, but I haven´t been able to find any other info online. The speaker came with the Cooler Master N200 case I´m using.

The speaker has a 4 pin (female) connection. There´s a connector on the MB that says COM that is next to the Front panel audio connector and the audio capicitors. The connector has 2 rows, one with 5 pins, the other with 4. The connector on the speaker will fit into either, with the obvious difference being that one of the 5 pins would still be exposed.

There are no other options on the MB where this little speaker would fit. This is my first build. Having previously owned MacBooks I have no knowledge about any of this. I´m guessing I could just plug it in and see if it works, but thought I´d ask first, feeling a bit nervouse about shorting something out or blowing something up by putting it in the wrong connector.

That link to the manual was dead, but I found it someplace else. Apparently what was included in my box isn´t the full manual but only two pages of very basic information. What I found in the full manual suggests that this is my solution. Guessing the speaker was included with the case because there isn´t a speaker on the front panel. Here´s what I found in the full manual:

• SPEAK (Speaker):
Connects to the speaker on the chassis front panel. The system reports
system startup status by issuing a beep code. One single short beep
will be heard if no problem is detected at system startup
