Where do I plug my gpu fan?

So I have this custom cooler on my gpu and the fenale plug on it looks like this (kind of) http://img.techpowerup.org/080903/Connector.jpg

The only difference would be the wiring color. Now I don't know where to plug it to get the fan to spin. I tried to plug it into this case fan pins on my motherboard but my female ones are a bit too small and it doesn't seem to fit. Now when I look at the gpu itself, there's only 2 pins so obviously this won't fit since this needs 3/4 pins. Is there anything I could do? Also I want to know why this is too small for the pins on my motherboard. Thank you

What mobo? Should have a CPU fan header (either a three or a four pin) next to the CPU socket

I already have my cpu fan plugged in. I just need my gpu fan to be plugged in..

I have an HIS HD 7770 ghz edition with Accelero Twin Turbo II after market cooler.

Third party coolers normally plug into the GPU card itself or are made to, does your 7770 have a fan plug in or was the stock fan hardwired

It does have a fan plug in. However, the male plug on my gpu only has 2 pins while my cooler needs 3 or 4 pins.. That's the problem. I tried to plug it onto the 4 pins on my motherboard but it doesn' work..

It should work no matter how many pin slots each have...I thought the 3rd and 4th pin are for monitoring and adjusting only.

It does matter because the pins have this brackets around them make it impossible to plug the thing in. And I'm about to order an adapter for it so I can connect it directly to the psu

Cool, that should hopefully work, the one on newegg showed the molex adaptor coming with it.

I'm ordering the one from the company that made the cooler itself ,just in case. I think it's better because it will have higher chance that the adapter will be capable. The prices are not that much different anyway.
