Question Where does each cable go?

I'm new to this PC building thing and I was wondering if someone would help me figure out were each cable goes.

They pretty much only fit where they go.

The most common mistake is the two 8 pin connectors. Yes put these wrong and you get the magic smoke. The trick is go slow use lots of light and LOOK hard and reason out as your doing it does it look correct.

This is where you read, in depth, the motherboard spec and installation sheets.

In words I can't be any better than the video that Lutfij already posted. It comes down to LOOKING at both the motherboard and the 8 pin connector and same for the 8 pin to the GPU connector.

The square and the beveled pins are in different locations. That's what you need to focus on to get it correct.

my mother board for the cpu power connector pins has one 2x4 port and one 2x2 port, it also has 2 cpu cables which are both 2x4 pin
