[SOLVED] Where has my D drive gone ?

So I have a CyberPower gaming PC (exact model eludes me right now). It came with 256GB hard drive space and 1T of external hard drive space. I think that's how it works anyway. I got a notification earlier in the night saying I was running low on hard drive space, since I had been saving everything to the 256GB drive for whatever reason. I saw online you could merge the two drives together somehow, and I think I managed to botch this process up somehow. The D drive no longer exists on the Disk Management section of my computer, yet I see "Disk 0- 931.50GB Unallocated". I don't know if it's a partition thing, or if I somehow managed to outright delete my computer's access to this drive altogether?

All I know is I'm out of my depth here, and would appreciate any help anyone could give me in regards to this.

Thanks.

You have either formatted or deleted the partition originally on the 1TB. disk ,in which case all the data is probably lost . You just need to re-create a new partition on the unallocated space using Disk Management and the disk should reappear in Explorer.

did you have anything on the 1TB drive?
There wasn't anything there aside from a few files. Nothing that wasn't on the C: drive. I had attempted to move some stuff over in the past, but couldn't get everything I wanted to go. I later learned I'd have to re-download many of the larger files I have, and so I just opted to put it off until I wasn't left with any other choice.

This helped a lot, thank you! I just need to figure out how to have the computer use that drive as the primary drive now.

What do you mean by "primary"?
Well, I would like for all my files/games/etc to be located on that drive specifically, since there's 4x as much room. Additionally, I'd like to be able to have everything I download/save go to that drive as well. I worked out that last bit. However, I can't quite work out how to access the drive itself. My desktop only seems to be showing files on the C: drive, leading me to believe that the desktop can only display one drive or the other, hence the preference to have everything moved to the bigger one.

Please show us a screencap of your current Disk Management window.
Whatever you did before has messed up the HDD.

As for applications/games/files:
You do NOT make the second drive the complete 'primary'. Search around, and you'll find some registry junk that will do this. And that WILL break your OS.
Don't try to force everything to be on the D drive.

Applications:
When you install something, select Custom or Advanced, and you choose where it installs to. You can't force everything to be elsewhere...some things NEED to be on the C drive with the OS.

Personal files:
Windows and applications have gotten really good at managing more than one drive or partition. Create a file, 'Save As'.
The you choose where.
The next time you use that application, it will suggest that same place as the default.

Games:
Steam games are easy. Yes, you can make the D drive the default for those.
