Sooo, awhile ago i installed Microsoft office and when i did i installed it to my storage drive, when installed it i forgot to give it a folder and data on the drive was sent to a ''Recovery" folder that i did not create, and that was ok, i could still access my files and so i learnt to live with it .... and then today i decided to a clean install of windows because i kept getting errors and windows update was stuck trying to download a 50MB update.. so i made myself a bootable win10 usb and formatted my hard drives as per-usual and everything was just dandy until i checked my drives and noticed said 'Recovery' folder was missing, i made sure that the show hidden files/folders option was enable and still nothing... so i decided to the a search for specific files and folders using windows search and alas they were found, but, i can not access parent folders or the 'Recovery" folder, i can only access what is in the folders through win search and every time i try to access the parent folder a lovely little dialog box pops up to tell me that said directory is inaccessible and access is denied.
and yes i have tried recuva, wich tells me the files i want to recover are unrecoverable even though i can still open them.
so please would the god of all things ugly in windows OS please help a brutha out.
