I now have a total of 3 nvmes and i would like to install them but i want to make sure im not hindering my 4090. Pleas tell me which slots i should be using and i know i may lose sata 7 port even though id rather not its ok if i have to.

I am a little confused about what will make me lose x16 gpu bandwidth and what wont .

msi z690 carbon mpg wifi
4090
samsung 980 pro os
seagate 530
wd sn850x

Thanks

All of them except for M.2_1 run off the Z690 chip set so it doesn't matter.
Don't use M.2_4 and all the SATA ports should work.

It gets confusing, especially for support for PCIe5.0 SSD's, if you have them - I'm trying to figure out what LGA1851 Motherboards support 2 x PCIe5.0 SSD's without affecting GPU lanes.
I'd first check what SSD's you have (PCIe5.0 and / or PCIe4.0)
Then check the User Manual for what lanes are shared, and avoid them for PCIe5.0 SSD; and to ensure the slots you use for PCIe4.0 are dedicated without sharing.
There is both an 'Optimal' selection for using multiple M.2 ports, and a 'Maximum' too, heavily dependent upon what Generation of SSD's you are using.

From what I can determine, your Motherboard has the same setup as the Ace, which allows (as far as I can tell) the below configuration for multiple SSD's, as Optimal & Maximum:

M.2_1@PCIe5; M.2_2@PCIe4; M.2_3@PCIe4; M.2_4@PCIe4; M.2_5@PCIe4. That makes this 1 x G5 & 4 x G4 without sharing bandwidth.
His motherboard is LGA 1700.
