Where can I buy a motherboard for a specific model of a computer? Is there a program that will scan and tell me what motherboard I have. It is a Formosa IPMMB-FM, I know. Thanks

Yes there is a program, but you already know what it is.
Then all you need is Google.

Unless HP sells them, it is going to be tough.

Someone else makes them, Pegatron, and they won't help with HP products.

With a little research you can, sometimes you can find a Pegatron equivalent, but I don't know if they sell retail.

Very low end company anyway.

A better choice is look for a good brand name Z75 chip set board.

Why do you want an exact copy?

I know very little about computers, but on mine the PCIe x16 slot is bad and I need something new. Do you have recommendations that will fit my model computer h8-1320t?

Thanks

I would like at least one more PCIe x16 slot. I am looking now. I also need to know if they will user the ram I currently have and that have at the other port that are on my board now.

I need 4 I don't know which type of DDR3 memory I have I have run system info and if it is the I don't understand it. Thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated.

What do you think about the ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157294R and will it accept the cpu I have?

I don't need 2 DVI plugs I want to use a amd hd7670 graphics card. I don't know what sata is.

Lowest price of the top board manufacturers.
American subsidiary of Asus

Cheapest board, I consider, and I know many geeks that like them.

All you have to know on the CPU, is Socket LGA1155, and it is.

@ PCIe 3.016X slots, and they run 8X,8X electricaly with 2 video cards

Well I have searched and can't not figure out what mother board I need. Is there a company that will build a computer for you that you can use you current internal components in it?

What is wrong with the one you picked?
Even if you find a company, they are not going to know what features you want.
You have to decide that.

I suppose, it is just a motherboard replacement, so any local computer shop would do that.

Or you need to find a local geek, for something like that.
I do stuff like that for my friends all the time.

Even though that is last generation, those motherboards are rapidly disappearing, and they don't make them anymore. Everything is socket LGA 1150 Haswell now. Choice is dwindling.

If you pick from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, or Asrock, and just look for the features you want, you will be OK.

Thanks, do you think I can change the motherboard with an updated one and still use the items I have?
