Yeah, comments on USA gaming websites seem to be similar, although some of the big retailers have sold out. Either Nintendo oversupplied to meet demand or the Switch 2 isn't selling as well as it should. Part of the problem is the high asking price with no true killer games besides Mario Kart World. There's also all the stuff that you need to buy in addition to the console for a good experience. The PS5 Pro is a similar example.

I also looked at Ebay and prices are only a couple hundred more over MSRP. I would have expected double MSRP.

I did buy a Switch 2 and only because I have the money. I also love Ninty 1st party games and i'm an old school gamer going way back into the late 80's. I also buy the latest consoles. I think that's who will buy these at first until the price drops and that may not happen if tariffs make the price go higher and impact future sales.

i think its more to do with the switch games then the asking price of the console itself. ill personally buy it after 6 months this is usually due to die shrinks and better battery life

current switch 2 are beta consoles. as was the first generation of switch consoles. after 6-8 months there should be a board update as nintendo did this before.
