Where to buy Nvidia's RTX 5090 graphics card

That is a lot of money for a card that lacks the performance uplift of previous generations. There's also a possibility according to Nvidia that DLSS 4 or some features of it may show up on the RTX 4 series. The 4090 looks as the more attractive option especially if it gets a discount when the 5 series appear, unless one has money to burn and wants to claim bragging rights.

They stopped manufacturing all but the 4060. The 40 series and 50 series are on the same process node. I would expect prices for remaining new 4090 to increase rather than decrease.

They've gone up like crazy. Just built a 9800X3D rig for my sibling and can't find any high end cards. Even the 7900XTX is no longer available for MSRP or below.

Yeah, I knew the AMD side of things was getting worse. Pretty much since the last of the 7900GRE were on the market. Still a few 7900XT available for reasonable prices and plenty of 7800XT.

4070 Super are likely to just hang at the current prices and wait for inventory to sell rather than try to compete much with the 5070.

5080 doesn't really need to compete, the 4080 Super is already basically out of stock with only higher priced units still available.
