i should just quote myself earlier as my response still stands in this situation.

with the same number of heat pipes and most likely fins the only performance gain you will probably get is from either using 2 fans or the added heatsink that goes on the back. But for a difference in performance from the already stellar Ultra 120 Extreme is 1-3C really worth 20-30 bucks.

The cooler won't be any taller than a 120 Extreme but will be wider, its just a 120 Extreme split into 2 separate towers. Which the 120 Extreme had a respectable width in comparison to many other tower coolers like the Tuniq. So the width should still be within reason.

and I dont have a nice cooler (9700 doesnt let me go too high) so I want something really strong.

remember that they have a used pre-release version of the IFX-14 and so, it might not be the final result of the final product.
