Hi,

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3600MHz F4-3600C16D-16GVK
MB: Asrock X370 Taichi
CASE: Fractal Define S

I successfully installed Liquid Freezer II 280 as front intake, overclocked Ryzen 5 1600 to 4.00 GHz at 1.38V and RAM to 3200C14. Prime 95 and Aida stress test shows CPU temp 70C and AIO 1350 RPM.

I connected AIO PWM to CPU_OPT/W_PUMP header and set it to "Performance mode". It is wierd that RPM is only at 1350 and CPU temp is 69-70C. This cooler should be overkill for R5 1600.

Where should I connect AIO PWM, to CPU_OPT/W_PUMP or CPU_FAN1 header?
MB specification:
1 x CPU Fan Connector (4-pin)**
1 x CPU Optional/Water Pump Fan Connector (4-pin) (Smart Fan Speed Control)***
**The CPU Fan Connector supports the CPU fan of maximum 1A (12W) fan power.
***The CPU Optional/Water Pump Fan supports the water cooler fan of maximum 1.5A (18W) fan power.

I read somewhere that it is better for pump to work at constant RPM, I didn't know the LFII has only one PWM that controls pump, fans and VRM fan and I can't control it separately. Does it show pump or fans RPM in BIOS monitor? I want fans to work at 80% all time to better cool my hdds but I am not sure is it safe for pump and AIO longevity?

I have 240 version and as far as I know all 3 sizes (240, 280 and 360) use same pump. Pump and fans should connect together to CPU_Fan header. Pump works full speed all the time no matter how and where it's connected. Pump doesn't have speed monitoring only fans. Since fans are PWM so they should be set to PWM mode in BIOS.

I connected it to CPU_FAN header in first place and set it to full speed, and now I connected it to CPU Optional/Water Pump Fan Connector but result is the same. BIOS and HW Monitor reported 1500 RPM and LFII Max fan speed is 1700.

How is it possible? Is it normal?
